PGZone Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, collect, store, use, and share when you use If I Grow (the “App”) on Android and iOS, including where you choose to connect Health Connect by Android and/or Apple Health (HealthKit) (together, “Health Platforms”).
By using the App, you acknowledge that your data will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)

2. What the App does
If I Grow is a wellbeing app that supports:
- Habit tracking (including calendars, streaks, reminders, and progress history)
- Goal setting (including milestones and progress updates)
- Optional AI coaching conversations
- Optional connection with real-life coaches
- Subscription access to premium features
3. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Consent – e.g., connecting Health Platforms, enabling push notifications, opting into marketing emails, and using optional AI coaching.
- Contractual necessity – providing requested App features and managing subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests – improving the App, maintaining security, preventing misuse, and providing customer support (balanced against your rights).
4. Data we access and/or collect
We collect and process personal data only where necessary to provide and improve the App. The types of data we process depend on how you use the App and the features you enable.
4.1 Account and profile data
We collect:
- Email address (for account creation, sign-in, and account management)
- Age confirmation (to ensure compliance with minimum age requirements)
4.2 Habit and goal data (entered by you or generated by the App)
We process data you create or interact with in the App, including:
- Habits and goals you create (including selected templates such as “Health & Fitness”)
- Targets and thresholds (e.g. steps, distance, calories, time, hydration)
- Completion status, streaks, and calendar activity
- Manual entries you add
- Progress history and performance metrics displayed within the App
4.3 Health data via Health Platforms (Health Connect / HealthKit)
If you choose to connect Health Connect (Android) and/or Apple Health / HealthKit (iOS) and grant permissions, we may access health data to enable automatic tracking of habits and goals.
Where health data is used in the App
Health-linked templates are available in:
- Habits → Add Habit → Habit Template Library → Health & Fitness
- Goals → Add Goal → Goal Template Library / Challenges → Health & Fitness
When enabled:
- Habit completion may update automatically based on your activity
- Goals may update progress or completion automatically
- The Progress view displays entries used to calculate progress
Health data types we may read (with your permission):
- Steps
- Distance (e.g. walking, running, cycling)
- Active calories burned
- Exercise/workout sessions and duration
- Sleep data
- Hydration (water intake)
- Weight (body mass)
- Body fat percentage
Health data types we may write (only if enabled by you):
If you choose to log certain metrics and enable syncing, we may write:
- Hydration (water intake)
- Weight
- Body fat percentage
- Distance entries
We only write data when:
- You perform an action in the App (e.g. logging water or weight), and
- You have granted write permissions in your Health Platform
Important:
You can disconnect Health Platforms or revoke permissions at any time. If you do, health data access and auto-tracking will stop.
4.4 AI coaching data
If you use AI coaching features, we process:
- Messages you send to the AI coach
- AI-generated responses
- Limited technical metadata (e.g. request IDs, session IDs, usage counts)
AI coaching data may be processed using trusted third-party AI service providers solely to deliver the feature.
We do not use your AI coaching data to train general-purpose AI models.
We process this data only to provide AI responses and improve your experience within the App.
4.5 Coaching connection data (real-life coach matching)
If you request support connecting with a real-life coach, we process information you choose to provide, such as:
- Your stated reasons for seeking coaching
- Preferences and goals used to match you with a suitable coach
4.6 Subscription and billing data
Subscriptions may be managed via Apple App Store, Google Play, and/or third-party providers such as RevenueCat.
We may process:
- Subscription status and entitlement level
- Transaction or receipt identifiers required to validate access
We do not collect or store full payment card details.
4.7 Device and usage data
We may automatically collect certain technical and usage data, including:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- IP address and approximate location (country or region level)
- App interactions (e.g. screens viewed, features used, onboarding progress)
- Diagnostic data (e.g. crashes, performance metrics)
This data helps us:
- Maintain and improve app performance
- Fix bugs and technical issues
- Understand how users engage with the App
4.8 Event and analytics data
We may collect event-based data about how you use the App, such as:
- Onboarding progress and completion
- Feature usage (e.g. habits created, goals completed)
- Engagement patterns (e.g. frequency of use, streak activity)
This data is used in aggregated form to:
- Improve the App
- Measure feature effectiveness
- Optimise user experience
We do not use health data for analytics or advertising purposes.
5. How we use your data
We use your personal data to operate, improve, and support the App. Specifically, we use your data to:
Provide core App functionality
- Create and manage your account
- Enable habit tracking, goal setting, reminders, streaks, and progress visualisation
- Store and display your entries, history, and activity
Enable health-based features (where you choose to connect Health Platforms)
- Automatically update habit completion and goal progress based on health data
- Display progress insights based on your activity (e.g. steps, distance, sleep, hydration, weight)
Deliver AI coaching features (where enabled)
- Process your messages and generate AI coaching responses
- Provide personalised insights, summaries, and guidance based on your inputs
Support coaching connections (where requested)
- Match you with relevant real-life coaches based on the information you provide
Manage subscriptions and access
- Verify subscription status and entitlements
- Provide access to premium features
Provide customer support
- Respond to enquiries and resolve issues
- Investigate bugs, errors, or unexpected behaviour
Improve and develop the App
- Analyse usage patterns and feature engagement
- Understand how users interact with the App
- Develop new features and improve existing functionality
Maintain security and prevent misuse
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or unauthorised access
- Protect the integrity and reliability of the App
We process your data only where we have a valid legal basis (see Section 3).

6. Health data: permissions, control, and minimisation
- Connecting Health Platforms is optional.
- You control which health data types you share via HealthKit/Health Connect permissions.
- You can revoke access at any time in:
- iOS: Apple Health / Health app permissions, and/or
- Android: Health Connect permissions and settings.
- We aim to request and use only the minimum data needed for the habits/goals you enable.
7. Data sharing and disclosures
We share personal data only where necessary to operate, maintain, and improve the App, and always in accordance with applicable data protection laws.
Service providers (data processors)
We may share data with trusted third-party providers who support the operation of the App, such as:
- Cloud hosting and database providers (to securely store app data)
- Analytics and performance monitoring tools (to understand usage and improve reliability)
- Messaging and notification services (to deliver in-app or push notifications)
- Subscription and entitlement platforms (e.g. RevenueCat)
These providers:
- Process data only on our behalf
- Are contractually required to protect your data
- Cannot use your data for their own independent purposes
AI service providers
Where AI coaching features are used, limited data (such as your messages) may be processed by third-party AI providers solely to deliver responses.
We ensure such providers:
- Process data only to provide the AI functionality
- Do not use your data to train general-purpose models
- Apply appropriate security and data protection safeguards
Coaching connections
If you request to be connected with a real-life coach, we may share the information you provide with relevant coaches or matching services to facilitate that connection.
Legal and regulatory disclosures
We may disclose personal data where required to:
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to lawful requests from authorities
- Protect our rights, users, or the public
Business transfers
If PGZone Ltd is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will ensure your data remains protected and inform you where required.

- We limit data sharing to what is necessary for the purposes described in this policy
8. International transfers
We may process data in the UK and may use service providers that process data in other countries. Where transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards required under UK GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
9. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
Account, habit, and goal data
- Retained while your account is active
- You may delete individual data (e.g. habits, goals, entries) within the App
- If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise this data within a reasonable period
Health data (via Health Platforms)
- We access health data only to provide features such as progress tracking and automatic updates
- We do not retain more health data than necessary to operate these features
- If you disconnect Health Platforms or revoke permissions, access stops immediately
AI coaching data
- AI coaching data is processed to provide responses and insights
- Where temporarily stored (e.g. for performance, continuity, or support), it is retained only for a limited period and deleted on a rolling basis
- We aim to minimise retention wherever possible
Device, analytics, and event data
- Retained for a limited period to support performance monitoring, debugging, and product improvement
- Typically retained in aggregated or anonymised form where possible
Subscription and transaction data
- Retained as required to:
- Verify entitlements
- Comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations
Customer support data
- Retained for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry and maintain support records
- May be retained for a limited period to improve support quality and handle follow-up queries
Account deletion
When you delete your account (or request deletion):
- Your personal data will be deleted or anonymised within a reasonable timeframe
- Some limited data may be retained where required by law (e.g. financial records) or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. fraud prevention)
We regularly review the data we hold and aim to minimise retention wherever possible.

- controlled access (least privilege),
- monitoring and security updates.
No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and reduce risk.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 14+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights in relation to your personal data:

You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification
You can request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.

This will not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

13. User-generated content
You retain ownership of content you create in the App (such as notes, motivations, and entries). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the App and provide the services you request (e.g., displaying it to you, syncing it, generating progress summaries).
14. Marketing and communications
- Emails/newsletters: only if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Push notifications: optional; you can disable these in the App or device settings.
15. Tracking and advertising
We may use analytics and attribution tools to understand how users discover and interact with the App, improve performance, and measure the effectiveness of features and marketing.
These tools may collect limited technical and usage data, such as:
- Device type, operating system, and app version
- App interactions (e.g. screens viewed, features used)
- Installation source and campaign attribution (where applicable)
This data is typically processed in an aggregated and privacy-focused manner and does not directly identify you.
Where required, we will request your permission before enabling tracking on your device, including through platform-level permissions such as App Tracking Transparency on iOS.
You can control or disable certain types of tracking through your device settings or by adjusting permissions within the App.
Important:
- We do not use health data for advertising, profiling, or marketing purposes
- We do not sell your personal data
- We do not knowingly share personal data with advertisers for their independent use
If we introduce new forms of tracking or advertising in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy and, where required, seek your consent.
16. Automated decision-making and AI transparency
The App may use automated processing, including artificial intelligence (“AI”), to provide features such as coaching conversations, insights, summaries, and recommendations.
These outputs are generated based on:
- Data you provide (e.g. habits, goals, journal entries, messages)
- Your interactions with the App
AI-generated outputs are intended to:
- Support reflection and personal development
- Provide general guidance and suggestions
Important:
- AI outputs are informational only and do not constitute medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice
- You should not rely on AI outputs as a substitute for professional advice
Where AI features are used:
- Processing may involve trusted third-party AI service providers acting on our behalf
- We apply appropriate safeguards to protect your data
- We aim to minimise the data used and retained
We do not use automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects on you without appropriate safeguards.
17. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
