Privacy Policy (If I Grow)
Effective date: 25 February 2026
PGZone Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains what data we access, collect, store, use, and share when you use If I Grow (the “App”) on Android and iOS, including where you choose to connect Health Connect by Android and/or Apple Health (HealthKit) (together, “Health Platforms”).
By using the App, you acknowledge that your data will be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are (Data Controller)
PGZone Ltd is the data controller for personal data processed through the App.

2. What the App does
If I Grow is a wellbeing app that supports:
- Habit tracking (including calendars, streaks, reminders, and progress history)
- Goal setting (including milestones and progress updates)
- Optional AI coaching conversations
- Optional connection with real-life coaches
- Subscription access to premium features
3. Legal basis for processing (UK GDPR)
We process personal data under one or more of the following lawful bases:
- Consent – e.g., connecting Health Platforms, enabling push notifications, opting into marketing emails, and using optional AI coaching.
- Contractual necessity – providing requested App features and managing subscriptions.
- Legitimate interests – improving the App, maintaining security, preventing misuse, and providing customer support (balanced against your rights).
4. Data we access and/or collect
4.1 Account and profile data
- Email address (account creation, sign-in, account management)
- Age confirmation (minimum age requirement)
4.2 Habit and goal data (entered by you or generated by the App)
- Habits and goals you create (including template selection such as “Health & Fitness” templates)
- Targets/thresholds (e.g., steps, km, kcal, minutes, hours, ml)
- Completion status, streaks, calendar checkmarks
- Manual entries you add (where applicable)
- Progress history shown in the Progress view for a habit/goal
4.3 Health data via Health Platforms (Health Connect / HealthKit)
If you choose to connect Health Connect (Android) and/or Apple Health / HealthKit (iOS) and grant permissions, we may access health data to power auto-tracking of habits and goals.
Where health data is used in the App (your user journey)
Health-linked templates are available here:
- Habits → Add Habit → Habit Template Library → Health & Fitness
- Goals → Add Goal → Goal Template Library / 30-Day Challenges → Health & Fitness
After you create a habit or goal, it appears on your Habits or Goals screen. When you open it, you see a detail sheet where:
- the habit calendar can auto-check completion when targets are met,
- goals can auto-update progress and/or completion where applicable, and
- the Progress section shows entries used to calculate progress.
Health data types we READ (with your permission)
Depending on the habits/goals you enable, the App may read:
- Steps (to update step-based habits/goals and challenges)
- Distance (to update distance-based habits/goals such as walking/running/cycling distance)
- Active calories burned (to update calorie-burn habits/goals such as “Daily Calorie Burn”)
- Exercise / workout sessions and/or exercise duration (to update time-based exercise habits such as “Timed Walk”, “Timed Run”, “Timed Cycling”, “Timed Exercise”)
- Sleep (to update sleep habits/goals such as “Sleep Target” / sleep progress features where enabled)
- Hydration / water intake (to update water habits such as “Drink Water” where enabled)
- Weight (body mass) (to update weight-related goals and progress features where enabled)
- Body fat percentage (to update body composition goals and progress features where enabled)
Important: If you do not connect a Health Platform, or you revoke permissions, the App will not access that health data and auto-tracking will not run.
Health data types we may WRITE (only if you enable logging/sync)
If you choose to log certain health metrics in the App and enable Health Platform syncing, the App may write health data back to your Health Platform, such as:
- Hydration (water intake)
- Weight (body mass)
- Body fat percentage
- Distance entries
We only write health data when:
- you take an action that creates/updates a relevant entry (e.g., logging water or weight), and
- you have granted write access in the Health Platform permissions.
4.4 AI coaching data
If you use AI coaching features, we process:
- messages you send to the AI coach,
- the AI coach’s responses,
- limited technical metadata required to deliver the feature (e.g., message counts, request IDs, session IDs).
4.5 Coaching connection data (real-life coach matching)
If you request support connecting with a real-life coach, we process information you choose to provide, such as:
- your stated reasons for seeking coaching,
- preferences you submit to help find a suitable coach.
4.6 Subscription and billing data
Subscriptions may be managed via Apple/Google billing systems and/or RevenueCat. We may process:
- subscription status and entitlement level,
- receipt/transaction identifiers required to validate access.
We do not collect or store your full payment card details.
5. How we use your data
We use your data to:

- Manage subscriptions and premium feature access.

We do not use health data for behavioural advertising or advertising profiling.
6. Health data: permissions, control, and minimisation
- Connecting Health Platforms is optional.
- You control which health data types you share via HealthKit/Health Connect permissions.
- You can revoke access at any time in:
- iOS: Apple Health / Health app permissions, and/or
- Android: Health Connect permissions and settings.
- We aim to request and use only the minimum data needed for the habits/goals you enable.
7. Data sharing and disclosures
We share personal data only when necessary to operate the App, such as with:
- Service providers (processors): hosting, databases, analytics strictly for app performance, crash reporting, messaging/notifications, and subscription validation. These providers are contractually required to protect your data and only process it on our instructions.
- RevenueCat (where used): subscription status validation and entitlements.
- Legal and regulatory: where required by law or valid legal process.
We do not share health data with data brokers, and we do not sell health data.
8. International transfers
We may process data in the UK and may use service providers that process data in other countries. Where transfers occur, we use appropriate safeguards required under UK GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms).
9. Data retention
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes described:

- Health data via Health Platforms: accessed to calculate progress and show entries; we do not need to retain more health data than required to operate the progress features you use.
- AI coaching data: processed to deliver the feature. If we temporarily store AI chat logs, we retain them only for a limited period necessary for operation/support (and, where applicable, delete them on a defined schedule).
- Account deletion: when you delete your account in-app or request deletion, we delete or anonymise associated personal data within a reasonable period, unless we must retain some information to meet legal obligations (e.g., tax/accounting records).
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including:
- encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS),
- controlled access (least privilege),
- monitoring and security updates.
No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and reduce risk.
11. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for users aged 14+. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 14. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.
12. Your rights (UK GDPR)
You have rights to:
- access your personal data,
- correct inaccurate data,
- request deletion,
- object to or restrict processing,
- request data portability (where applicable).
To exercise your rights, email hello@ifigrow.com. We aim to respond within one month.
13. User-generated content
You retain ownership of content you create in the App (such as notes, motivations, and entries). You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to process that content only as needed to operate, maintain, and improve the App and provide the services you request (e.g., displaying it to you, syncing it, generating progress summaries).
14. Marketing and communications
- Emails/newsletters: only if you opt in; you can unsubscribe at any time.
- Push notifications: optional; you can disable these in the App or device settings.
15. Tracking and advertising
We do not use third-party advertising trackers for behavioural advertising within the App.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at www.ifigrow.com and may notify you in-app for material changes. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
17. Governing law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales.
